Privacy Policy
We do not sell, lease, or rent personally identifiable customer information to anyone. When a sale is made on our website (www.TexasArtDepot.com) or in our Palestine, Texas Gallery, we collect only the necessary data needed to fulfill the order and collect payment for the transaction. This data includes, name, address, phone number, credit card information and email address. We use the email address for sending order confirmations and tracking information regarding the products purchased and details of the sale. The phone number is used for communication and shipping purposes. We will also, from time to time, email information about gallery events, specials, and newsletters, but we will always offer the customer the option to not receive future emails with a simple opt-out procedure that is detailed in every newsletter.
Sometimes, during an out of stock situation or to expedite delivery of an order, we will use third parties, such as the artists publisher, the artist, or another gallery to ship for us, and in this instance we will give the third party your name, address, and phone number, and they rather than Texas Art Depot, will provide this information to the shipper for shipping purposes only. These third parties will never be given credit card or payment information of any kind. (Unless we tell you differently, these companies or third parties do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist you or us.)
Security of Information
In the shopping cart and other areas where secure transactions take place, this site uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions. This means your personal information is never transmitted across the Internet without being encrypted in a scrambled code that can only be unencrypted by our server. Only at the time of purchase or voluntary registration with our website will any personal information be acquired. This information, after it is voluntarily given at the time of purchase or registration, is stored in our website’s Secure SQL Database. If you are a registered customer of Texas Art Depot using our website to make a purchase, your information is password-protected for your privacy and security. You may securely edit your information or your password anytime after registering on our site by logging on with the password and login ID and simply changing the data. Texas Art Depot strongly suggests that customers should protect their login ID and password by never sharing them with anyone.
Limitations
Shipping Information
Domestic Orders: All orders shipped within contiguous 48 states of the mainland U.S. are shipped UPS ground by default, but sometimes we will use other carriers at our discretion. Domestic shipping charges within contiguous 48 states of the mainland U.S. are available directly from our website at checkout time. Next Day and Second Day Air are not always available even when offered by our website. In the event these options are not available we will contact the customer as quickly as we can and offer to cancel the order or to fulfill it using a slower delivery method for the normal ground shipping charge.
Requests for returns or exchange must be made within 10 (ten) days of receipt of your order. You may return your purchases for any reason but shipping, insurance, and handling must be paid both ways. Most art prints cost us around $25 to box, insure, and ship. Other merchandise will cost more or less to ship depending on what you order. An original painting may be shipped in a large custom made wooden crate and obviously your cost would be more. We normally charge $5 for boxing, insurance and ground shipping on most purchases and we absorb the difference between charged and actual cost from our profit on the sale. When you change your mind we don’t make a profit and we’re forced to charge the actual packaging, insurance and shipping back to you. Your refund will be your purchase price less actual shipping costs (box and actual shipping charges and insurance costs whatever that is, but we can provide documentation for the original shipping costs from UPS if you request it). You will also have to pay to ship it back to us. It must come in the original package and must be undamaged. We recommend you ship it back using UPS or FedEx and that you insure it for the full retail value. Then, if it’s damaged you can get your refund from UPS or FedEx because we will refuse to accept a damaged package.
Packaging:
Texas Art Depot ships prints flat as a general rule, but we will put them in a tube when we are requested to do so by a customer to save on international or expedited shipping charges. Giclee canvas reproductions and original paintings that are unframed are shipped rolled in a tube when they are delivered to us by the artists or by their publishers in a tube, unless we specifically indicate otherwise. Stretching these canvas prints or original paintings on stretcher bars and shipping them flat is possible but extra shipping charges would be incurred and are available on request. Your local framer can usually stretch them much cheaper than the shipping charges incurred for shipping them flat. Texas Art Depot uses great care to package all our merchandise to ensure it’s safe delivery when we ship. Damage to merchandise that we ship is very rare, (less than 1% of packages) but we insure it just in case.
