    Kaatz a native of the Great Lakes region of Ohio and avid outdoorsman is a dedicated artist who excels in painting scenes of nature- whether it be landscapes, wildlife, or seascapes, his art is certainly environmental. Regardless of the subject matter, Kaatz has a strong commitment to unveiling only those pieces of work which are accurately portrayed as well as communicating a special feeling.

     Kaatz has received many awards and honors, but his most pleasurable event is when one of his paintings evokes the same emotion in a viewer as he envisioned when he painted the scene.
