"While painting 'Heartland Tranquility', I kept going back to  my childhood. I was raised in the country and my fondest memories were always in the fall. When I was out helping to work on our land in the late afternoon, it was comforting to see my home from afar and I looked forward to the tranquility of being at home with my family.
