At Day's End by Alfredo Rodriquez - Some were called Trappers, some were referred to as Explorers, and some were considered Traders. Eventually they all became know as Mountain Men. Although the Mountain Man’s way of life was extremely difficult, it was a life of his choosing. He enjoyed the adventure of enduring nature in all its magnificence. To reach a Trading Post, where he would be able to exchange his goods, he traveled down from the mountains and across open land with his horse and pack animals. The journey, which could last for days, required selecting the best place to spend the night. Alfredo Rodriguez captures the moment as the sun is setting and a Mountain Man completes his day’s journey.
