Morning Charm by Denis Mayer, Jr. ~ Each year in early spring, these charming birds ponder our hearts with joy, life and excitement as they chirp around our backyard each and every morning, just before the sun splendours above the trees. It was such an inspiration for me to paint them, captured in such a lovely setting. I called this painting "Morning Charm" for that's what these chickadees really are. It is so rejuvenating to hear their joyful chirp and the noticeably unique charm of their black cap and fluffy feathers. They are found across North America in open woodlands, clearings, suburban as well as in low branches such as birch trees. I am once again, privileged to share this lovely painting to those who love the simple elegance of the Black-capped Chickadees or those who strive hard to preserve and protect them or simply those who treasure and admire the priceless beauty of nature around us.
"Morning Charm" is a following series of the Whistlers Charm (backyard view). With both having a birch tree and two chickadees as prime elements, they are a perfect collection of precious beauty. "Morning Charm" is a commissioned piece of mine through the generous, kind hearted and most of all, nature-loving art
collector, Mr. Wilfred Selig.
