Reagan by Andy Thomas
Ronald Reagan was the 40th President of the Untied States (1981-1989). February 6, 1911 - June 5, 2004
This wonderful portrait captures the true spirit and principles of the great man......humility, idealism, diligence, and hard work. President Reagan loved the outdoors and relished the times he spent on his ranch. Called Rancho del Cielo (Ranch in the Sky), this retreat conveyed Reagan's practical, down-to-earth manner and core beliefs. The President appears to have just finished one of the many chores he so enjoyed....perhaps he had cut firewood or had just returned from riding one of his horses. We know he was right at home in the place he so loved.
There is comfort in knowing this man once held our great nation's highest office. On June 3, 2009, Mrs. Reagan helped unveil the Ronald Reagan statue in the U. S. Capitol. Mrs. Reagan emotionally relayed to the audience, "I know Ronnie would be deeply honored to see himself with a permanent home in the Rotunda of the U. S. Capitol..."
